The staff clearly takes a lot of pride in their work and were great at touching base, providing ideas, and helping in every way. She took the time to really understand our situation and to make sure my dad got exactly what he needed. My dad was independent and free-spirited, but he needed a lot of care.

Thankfully, someone at the hospital suggested we try Highgate, and I'm so glad we did. My dad needed help immediately, and I was out of the state. I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentĬhristine3415 I love Highgate and feel forever grateful to this community for helping my dad when he needed it. Overall, Highgate is a wonderful, caring community for seniors. There is also a garden that the residents can help take care of. The gardens are beautiful and they allow residents to plant there own flower pots. The courtyard has lots of table and chairs available to enjoy the sunshine. There are several social gatherings throughout the year where friends and family are welcome to come and enjoy along with their loved ones. The bus is also available to take residents to appointments. They also have special outings from time to time, including looking at Christmas lights, going to parades, and weekly shopping. There is a weekly lunch bunch where you ride the Highgate bus and enjoy lunch outside of the community if you desire to do so. Daily exercising and stretching, live music at least once a week, bingo, brain games, daily movies, craft projects, etc. There are numerous activities both in and out of Highgate. The rooms are nice, fairly large but lacking a little in closet space and storage. They talk and laugh and make you feel at home. I have a right to reasonably enjoy my home and instead I am terrorized by the property manager and her family.Mtgrown The staff at Highgate are very friendly and genuinely care about you and your loved one residing there. I am not the only one that has complaints about her, I am just the only one that is sick of the abuse. She manipulates tenants into spying on each other, and it creates a hostile environment for all of us. The PM tells tenants other tenants person business, including what medications other tenants take.

After the fire Marshall left they went ahead and locked me out, so I called the fire Marshall and he came back and made them UN BLOCK THE ESCAPE and the guy that "fixes" stuff screamed in my face LITERALLY SHOUTED STORMED OFF AND SLAMED DOORS because he could not get his way BECAUSE IT WAS ILLEGAL. As well, my PM tried to lock me out of a fire escape, and the fire Marshall told them no. I have tried to call Jerrilyn or Jerald about it and do you think she called me back - NO. The PM has destroyed my personal property when doing an inspection while I was out. I refused to let the cops in, the city manager apologized to me over it and still I was written up. As well I was written up and given a 14 day notice for asking a visitor (police) to my apt (the PM daughter called them on me saying I was driving too fast) even though there is a manditory mask rule. He does not clean our building, and I mean clean. In the building I live in there is a mandatory mask rule for anyone under 5, the boy that "fixes" stuff never wears a mask when he walks down our halls. I live in one of their apartments and I am constantly harassed and my privacy is violated and I am written up for reporting tenants actually smoking inside their apartments.
